No NIN Linked? How To Call if SIM is Blocked
With the ongoing trend of SIM cards getting blocked by service providers because they are not linked to their NIN Numbers. You can make phone calls even if your SIM card is blocked.
NOTE: This should only be used for emergency reasons. Try and link your NIN to your SIM Cards as directed by the Federal Government ASAP
This can be achieved by disabling your caller ID, so that your service provider will recognise your Number as private, and will not prevent it from proceeding with the call.
How To Make Call if Your SIM is Blocked, Disable your Caller ID.
To be able to do just that, you have to disable your Caller ID
How To Disable Caller ID on Iphone or Android
If you own an iPhone or Android device, automatically block your number by adjusting one simple setting. Your number will appear private for every call you make.
To block your number on iPhone:
1. Go to Settings, Tap Phone
2. Press Show My Caller ID
3. Use the toggle switch to show or hide your number
Note: Verizon Wireless does not allow this feature, but I’ll show you what you can do about that in the next step.
To block your number on Android:
1. Open the Phone app, and open the Menu
2. Select Settings, then Call settings
3. Click on Additional settings, then Caller ID
4. Choose “Hide number” and your number will be hidden
To reverse this feature on Android, choose “Show number” or “Network default”
Call if SIM is Blocked on iPhone or Android
REMINDER: Use it for emergency purposes only. Do not keep it disable and ensure that you link your NIN to your phone numbers ASAP.
